Dear Everyone
I feel that every time I write y’all I have a
new companion or something. This Tuesday we were informed that Hermana Villeda
had changes. She didn’t move too far; she is in Minerva now, which is still in
our Zone.
Unfortunately Mario was not baptized this week.
Someone stole the deeds to his house, and he had a pretty big relapse on Friday
night. But I think in some ways it was a good thing. Because we now realize how
serious his problem with alcohol is and we can help him better. He plans on
being baptized in the next week or so.
Life is pretty good having a Mexican for a
comp. This week she made chilaquiles. They were quite tasty. She also made a
chocolate cake flan thing yesterday for an activity and is going to make posole
and chiles enogadas this week.
This week I went to the mission leadership
meeting. Something they focused on is that we need to learn how to receive
revelation for our investigators. I think that is something that all members
need to learn--to receive personal revelation. We are all God’s children and he
wants to communicate with us. But it is not always easy. It takes effort
sometimes to receive an answer from God. But that is something I am going to
focus on working on--to be more in tune with the Spirit, to realize when God is
talking to me.
Well I hope you are all doing well. I miss you
and love you!
Love,
Hermana Davies
