Hola que tal?
Oh goodness so
many things happened this week. I went to Toto to do divisions with the
Hermanas there and it was amazing. We were so blessed to see a miracle. Hermana
Revelo told me we were going to visit a girl, this girl has been visited my so
many missionaries. But her dad has never given her permission to be baptized
because he thinks she’s too young and she wanted to go visit her to get her dad’s
permission. We planned before we left. We decided to share the story of the
prophet Samuel. How he was called as a prophet at such a young age and how God
calls humble and willing people to follow him. We got to the house and share
the lesson. And I felt the spirit so strong as we read
9 Therefore Eli said unto Samuel, Go, lie down: and it
shall be, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak, Lord; for thy
servant heareth. So Samuel went and lay down in his place.
10 And
the Lord came, and stood,
and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for
thy servant
heareth.
When we
finished I asked for the father’s permission. I thinking of all the things I
could say if he said no. But he said yes! And for that Saturday! It was
amazing! I know that her dad felt the spirit in that lesson and that Heavenly
Father truly softened his heart. It wasn’t anything I did, or Hermana Revelo.
The prayers of so many people were answered that night.
My comp had a
tough day on Friday. It was really sad. We went with Ana who is 11 to confirm
her baptismal date. She was all ready. Her mom had given her permission before, but had changed her mind. [When the mom said she shouldn't be baptized], Ana started to cry and
covered her face. Which made me want to cry. We told her we weren’t mad and we
would always be her friend and love her. It was so
obvious she wanted to be baptized but was confused because of the mixed
messages from her mom.
Today when we
passed by her store she gave us a little present. It was a little box with a
note inside apologizing she said that she wanted to be baptized but couldn’t
but hoped that one day she could. I know one day she will be able too. I’m not
sure when but I know that she will.
I hope you all
have a great week. I know I will. I know Heavenly Father loves us. I know he
answers our prayers in his time and in his way.
Love you!
Hermana
